some news from the net:

# Someone calls his printer manufacturer to complain about the map of yellow dots his printer adds to each print, and get a visit from Secret Service which are interested in knowing what he has to complain about, having him nothing to hide.
[1] [2] [3] [4]

# micro$oft invents a new thing. They have a request for patent pending, related to a system to merge advertisement into the OS of the computer. They are also ravin-.. talking about users benefits. (?!)
[5] [6]

# The Oxford University search on the net for proofs of compromising behaviours of their students. Isn't what sudents do outside supposed to be their own affairs?
[7] [8] [9]

# FBI installs via email a spyware (CIPAV, Computer and Internet Protocol Address Verifier) on a PC to know who there is behind a myspace account linked to a bomb threat.
How did they activate it? Do they have the key of the backdoor?

For the series "we're done! thanks!"

Yay! The Italian Parliament is now equipped with the latest technologies! Fast like the wind! ("a month in advance compared with the plans"). [1]
"1st parliament of the world covered with wifi".
Coming soon also cryptocellphones at the cost of 999euroz (!?), and also a software change, from Win to Lin! [2]
A wonderful job! Now we are waiting for a wifi net also on the rest of the Italian territory (or at least where DSL is still missing).
Along with the liberalization of 1/3 of the frequencies. :D
... :D
You're going to do it, right? :|
...
Heeey?! :O
Anyone? :/
...
sigh. :'(

ok. Let's console ourselves with the new anti-DRM T-shirts.
Sadly I have enough T-shirts, because these are wonderful! [3]

this copyright sucks #1

An article by Frank Langfitt from the NPR (National Public Radio) site: [1].

It seems that we are going to be hounded also for singing under the shower. >:V

In the meanwhile the Italian wikipedia surrenders to the pressure and decides to remove all the snapshots of architecture works of our country. Obviously because the copyright holders are not happy of this! [2] [3]
Many compliments to the "Soprintendenza per il Polo Museale fiorentino" (I dunno how to translate it: it's something like "supervisors for the museum pole of Florence").
